Beware of Fraudulent Communications
Please beware of fraudulent communications and emails offering to sell IFA Convention attendees lists. These communications pretend to be affiliated with IFA, offer false attendance lists or contact information of “brand executives,” and seek to receive your financial information. The IFA will never sell the attendees lists for its events, and no third party or affiliate has permission to do so. Please do not correspond with senders of these emails, do not open any attachments, and do not click any links that pretend to give you access to IFA event attendees lists. A common example of a fraudulent email is below:

Marketing, Operations and many more…
Each record in the list contains - First Name, Last name, Company Name, Job Title, Phone Number, Email Address, Company Website, LinkedIn Profile etc...,

The IFA is tracking this matter and filing individual complaints with appropriate authorities. On October 1st, the IFA led a coalition of 132 other business groups to send a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) urging their immediate attention to the proliferating fraudulent business practice of selling falsified or stolen association mailing lists, and event attendee and/or exhibitor lists. If you receive similar communications, please report them to the Federal Trade Commission. Likewise, if you are suspicious about an email from IFA (or from someone who pretends to be affiliated with IFA), please forward it the IFA Events team at events@franchise.org for confirmation.
